ZEBULON – Mary Katherine Rose Ragan,75, died Thursday. She was born in Bedford County, Route 7, Lynchburg, VA, the daughter of Charlie Spencer Rose and Mary Ella Sheppard Rose. She graduated from Rocky Mount Senior High School, attended Louisburg College and Nash Technical College. She became a Licensed Practical Nurse after completing the Practical Nurse Education Program. She retired from the Brian Health and Retirement Center, Clayton, NC in 2001. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her sister Margaret Elizabeth Rose, her husband Everette Sidney Ragan, her son, Robert Harvey Ragan, brother, Elwood Hines Rose and Carl Preston Rose.
She is survived by her son, David Spencer Ragan and wife Annette, grandson, Russell Everette Ragan, granddaughter, Jesica Ann Ragan, and great grandchildren, Spencer Lee & Caroline Marie Ragan.
Memorial service, 11 am, Saturday, Strickland Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 10-11am prior to the service. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
