MARY ELIZABETH DAVIS MATTOX
February 16, 1919 – March 29, 2014
WENDELL – Mary Elizabeth Davis Mattox, 95, passed away Saturday at Wellington in Knightdale. She was a native of Columbia, SC. She was a faithful and very active member of Wendell Christian Church. Mary was truly a woman of grace who made you feel welcome in her presence. Her smile was warm and genuine. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Mattox.
She is survived by her son, Doug Mattox and wife Melanie of Raleigh, grandchildren Jonathan Mattox and wife Lauren, Austin Mattox and wife Ebru, sisters-in-law, Annie Sue Faison, Nellie Mattox, many nieces and nephews.
A memorial funeral service will be held 1 pm,, Tuesday in Wendell Christian Church, 427 Mattox St., Wendell, NC with visitation to follow in the fellowship hall.
I lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wendell Christian Church.
