MARTHA GREENE UNDERHILL

WENDELL – Martha Rose Greene Underhill, 81, died on Tuesday. A native of Montgomery County she was daughter to the late Harrison Wingate & Mattie Thompson Greene. She was a nurse for Dr. Tucker, Dr. Brashear, and at Wake Med. Martha loved flowers and enjoying life. She had a crafters hands. Her grandchildren were her heart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Lindsey Underhill.
She is survived by her children, John Underhill (Phyllis) of Wendell, David B. Underhill (Maria) or Sarasota, FL, Ronald “Lynn” Underhill (Terry) of Enterprise, AL, Faye Nichols (Nick) of Pickens, SC, grandchildren, John, Lauren, Garrett, Ronnie, Josh, Samantha, Kevin, Lindsay, great granddaughter, Emry, step great grandchildren, Alyssa & Jordan.
Flowers welcomed or memorials may be made to Hospice of Wake County.
Funeral service, 2 pm, Saturday, Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell with internment to follow in Greenmount Cemetery. The family will receive friends at John & Phyllis’s home following the service. www.stricklandfuneralhomes.net
