Magdalene Marlowe Coleman
June 8, 1936 – February 17, 2025
CLAYTON – Magdalene Marlowe Coleman passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 88, with those she loved right there at her side. She was born in Nash County to the late James R. & Josephine Wallace Marlowe. She was also very athletic, as she was not only a cheerleader but also a basketball player for her Spring Hope High School team. Later, Magdalene worked as a Senior Claims Representative in the insurance industry for many years. She enjoyed time with her family, and they will miss the wonderful laughs they always shared together. Tightly, they will hold on to the fond memories that made her the wonderful woman she was. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandchild, Christopher Sprague; brothers, Junior Marlowe and William “Mack” Marlowe.
A Graveside service will be at 12:00pm on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh NC.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 45 years, Sidney Charles Coleman; her daughter, Kimberly Lee; her stepchildren, Shelia Sprague and Chuck Coleman; her grandchildren, Jordan Lee, Kateland Lee, Natalie Sexton (Brian) and Jonathan Woodell.
In lieu of flowers, it is the family’s desire that memorial contributions be made to Zebulon United Methodist Church.
