Lynwood Thomas Faison
July 2, 1920 – September 8, 2019

ZEBULON – Lynwood Thomas Faison, 99, died early Sunday morning at home.  He was born in Wake County to the late Charles Augustus “Gus” & Kiley Coley Faison.  He served his country in the United States Army.  He was a farmer, avid hunter & fisherman, and devoted family man.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Velma Wheeler Faison and son, Charles Thomas Faison.

He is survived by his son, Lynwood Wheeler Faison (Lenita Childree), grandsons, Andrew Faison (Tracey), Brett Faison (Victoria), Clint Faison (Lisa), great-grandchildren, Anderson Arrow, Delaney Hunter & Thomas Faison, & great-great-grandson, Wyatt Faison.

Funeral service 8 pm, Wednesday, Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, 211 W .Third St., Wendell.  Visitation 6:30 – 7:45 pm, prior to the service.  Full obituary at www.stricklandfuneral.com

    I am so sorry for your loss. Thomas was one of a kind. He was one of the few people I have ever met that within minutes of meeting him, he treated you like he’s known you his whole life. He will be missed. Prayers to you all.

    There was no finer man than Thomas Faison. He and wife Velma were wonderful people. Heaven has gained another angel.❤️❤️❤️

    Great memories of playing cards with Mr. Thomas and my sister Wendy at the tobacco warehouse in Wendell. We never could win against him! Condolences to the Faison family.
