September 18, 1944 – October 9, 2020

Wendell – Linwood Ray Barbour, 76, died Friday.  He was born in Johnston County.  He was a skilled sign painter.  Lin was a wonderful husband and father who was a great artist and had a love of nature. He was simply an all-around down to earth, good man.  He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Barbour.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Paula Louise Parrott Barbour of the home, daughter Kimberly Hutchins (Jeffrey) of Clayton, step daughters, April Rohde (Paul) of Wendell, Paula Jo Driscoll of Chesapeake, VA, brother, Ricky Barbour (Pam) of Zebulon, grandchildren, Kevin Blackmon, Elizabeth Hutchins, Andrew Hutchins, Bryan & Brandon Rohde, nephews Brandon & Daniel Barbour.

A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, 3:00 pm, West Clayton Church of God, 143 Short Johnson Rd., Clayton, NC 27520; visitation following the service.
