WENDELL – Lindsay Catherine Johnson, 39, of Wendell, passed away at her home on April 8, 2025.
Born on June 4, 1985, in Wake County, Lindsay was the daughter of Mathew Johnson and the late Karen Hodge. She had a kind heart, a beautiful voice, and a spirit that lit up the lives of those who knew her.
Lindsay loved to sing, and music was a constant joy in her life. She also enjoyed staying connected with friends and family through Facebook, always keeping up with the people she cared about most.
Lindsay is survived by her father, Mathew Johnson (Connie), and her brothers, Joshua Clay Johnson and Joseph Adam Johnson. She is also survived by her niece Morgan, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service to honor Lindsay’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, 211 W. 3rd Street, Wendell, NC. Inurnment will follow at Knightdale United Methodist Church Cemetery, 621 N. First Avenue, Knightdale, NC.
Lindsay will be remembered for her warmth and her laughter. She will be deeply missed.

Lindsay was the kindest most honest humble grateful loyal and generous person that I have ever known. I am blessed to have spent the last five years as her partner. She taught me many things about myself and about life in general. I know that she is with her mother finally again and that she is finally at peace. I love you Lindsay!….When we meet again, I k ow you will be there to meet me with Kelly and my dad.

We miss you dearly!!! There will never be a more kind-hearted, considerate, loving, thoughtful, selfless, passionate, best friend. Knowing you are singing with your mom and Dancing in the Stars, makes it a little easier, because those who knew you best, knew how much you loved your mom, and missed her so much, You will never be forgotten and will live in our hearts forever.
