LEWIS F. “BUD” RICHARDSON
August 12, 1917 – February 18, 2012
WENDELL – Lewis “Bud” Franklin Richardson, 94, died Saturday. Born in Wake county he was son to the late Hefflin Daniel & Sarah Lee Richardson. Bud was a man who was loved by many and had a warm smile for everyone. He was preceded in death by his first wife Jeanette Ruth Richardson and great grandson, Jonathan Richardson.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Hocutt Richardson of Wendell, son, Richard Lewis Richardson (Kathleen) of Salisbury, step daughters, Shelia Driver (Norman) & Susie Hinnant (Bill) both of Zebulon, brother, Berdon Richardson of Wendell, 7 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, & 7 step great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Hospice of Wake County or to a charity of choice.
Funeral service 2 pm, Tuesday, Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell with visitation from 1– 2 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Richardson Family Cemetery. www.stricklandfuneralhomes.net
