Kevin Edward Stevens, 54, of Zebulon, NC, went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday April 1, 2026.

Kevin was born on July 2, 1971, in Charleston County, SC, a son of the late Ira Madison Smoak III and Peggy Stevens Smoak. He spent his younger years in South Carolina and Texas, before moving to North Carolina. He worked as a commercial electrician for Insight Electrical Construction. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He was of the Christian Faith.

He is survived by his wife, April Denise Stevens and his children, two sons, Kevin Stevens, Jr. and Cody Faughender; three daughters, Victoria Stevens, Abigail Stevens, and Ashley Alicea; two sisters, Randa Smoak; Melanie Smoak Seagraves (spouse Randy Seagraves); three grandchildren and many loved nephews and nieces.

For 28 years, Kevin and his wife built a life and family together anchored in love, faith, and hard work. He leaves behind a legacy his family will proudly carry forward: He taught his children to be respectful, work hard, love fiercely, and be yourself unapologetically.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Strickland Funeral Home with Pastor Glen Brock officiating. The family will receive extended family one hour prior to the service. Please come as you are, the family welcomes casual attire and camo for those in attendance.

Following the service family and friends are invited for a meal from 4 PM until 7 PM at Brickview Events, 37 N. Main St., Wendell, for continued celebration of Kevins life.
