Kelly Cooke Ayscue, 35, of Wendell, NC, passed away on Tuesday, October 24th. She was the loving mother of three adorable children who made up the entirety of her world. She had been with husband & best friend, Tyler Ayscue, for over 13 years. Kelly loved reading and often frequented the local library eager to select her next novel. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her children. You could often find them on a nature walk around the farm or playing together at the local park. They enjoyed taking vacations together to the beach and mountains. She was an avid runner and a certified yoga instructor. She had a fun, carefree spirit with an infectious smile that could light up any room. She will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure to know her.

She is survived by her husband, Tyler Ayscue, children, Rhett Tyler Ayscue (7), Wilder Bailey Ayscue (5), Creek Kinze Ayscue (1yr. 8 months), father & mother in-law, Dean & Margaret Ayscue, brother-in-law, Holden Ayscue, sister-in-law, Deana Ayscue, grandmother-in-law Betty Ayscue, uncle-in-law, Keith Ayscue (Ronda), aunt-in-law Marian Stewart, uncle-in-law David Stewart (Bonnie), cousin-in-law, Ashley Strickland (Jonathan), Kimberly Rydzyk (Josh). She was preceded in death by grandparents-in-law, Ann & John Stewart, and Grover Hugh Ayscue.

Kelly was born at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount, NC. She was a loving daughter to Charles Ray & Wanda Pierce Cooke of Littleton, NC. She was a devoted sister to Shelley Cooke Bryant (Chad), grandmother, Faye Long Pierce, uncle, Randy Pierce, aunt, Patsy Parrish (Jesse), and uncle, Allen Cooke (Brenda). She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William Nathaniel Cooke & Beatrice Allen Cooke, maternal grandfather, Jordan Oliver Pierce.

She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, & Accounting minor from NC State University. She worked at North Carolina Electric Cooperative as a Portfolio Analyst.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your favorite library.

Memorial visitation 1-3 pm, Saturday, October 28th, Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, 211 W. Third St., Wendell. The memorial service will follow in the Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel.
