March 3, 1937 – June 18, 2017

BUNN – Joyce Jeffreys Whitley 80, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday with her family surrounding her. Joyce was born in Franklin County to the late Charlie & Nora Wheeler Jeffreys. She retired from the NCDMV after 30 years. Joyce was a strong woman who loved family unconditionally especially her grandbabies. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jeannette Mullen.

She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda P. Barnette (Melvin) of Wilson, Kim H. Joyner of Bunn, sister, Katherine Robbins of Bunn, grandchildren, Matthew Barnette(Hayley), Ashleigh May (Ray), Staci Stone (Daniel),  great grandchildren, Pierce Stone, Elizabeth Katherine Stone, Nora Stone, Luca Barnette, Haleigh May, Calleigh May & special friend Sharon Pearce.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church of Zebulon.

Funeral service 2 pm, Wednesday, Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell with visitation from 12:30 – 2 pm prior to the service & other times at the home. Burial in Old Bunn Cemetery. www.stricklandfuneral.com
