July 4, 1962 – June 15, 2021

WENDELL – Jonathan Edward Rockwell, 58, of Wendell, NC, passed away suddenly on June 15th, 2021 at Wakemed Medical Center, Raleigh.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy Francis, his beloved nephew, Steven Tripp of Manchester, New Hampshire, his brother, David Coggins, and many friends and acquaintances throughout the community.

Jonathan loved drawing, painting, magic tricks, and taking care of his home on Hwy 231. Most of all, he loved his cats. He had a tremendous heart and will be missed by everyone who really knew him. Especially his girls, Tori, Mia, Punky, and Honey Bun.

There will be no funeral service. A celebration of his life will occur at a later date.

    I am so deeply sorry to hear of Jon’s passing. Not only was he a wonderful neighbor, he was a wonderful friend, and we loved him. Much sympathy, Wendy, David, and family. Prayers for peace and strength for you all.

    Hey.Mrs. Wendy. Mr. Jon thought me how to play the fish table. I didn’t know what I was doing he said ma’am u losing,money. I didn’t understand how to play I don’t play on those machines but it looked fun so I tried it. Mr.jon talked about you to us and the cats I’m Sorry for your loss.     I just learned last night that Jon had passed away…. i was completely heartbroken. Jon and i have been friends for a number of years. He will greatly be missed by all that knew him. I am so sorry your loss and his family. My prayers and thoughts are with you and his family. May God give you peace and strength through this difficult time
