WENDELL – Johnny Dwight Cooke, 66, died Thursday. He was born in Johnston County. He worked for Rockwell, GE, and Siemens. Johnny was a good man who enjoyed tractors, hunting, & his family. He was preceded in death by his father, John Dwight Cooke.
Funeral service, 3 pm, Sunday, Baptist Tabernacle Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Olivia Baker Cooke of the home, children, John Cooke (Tara) & Lenore Cooke Strickland (Leamon) both of Wendell, mother, Virginia Hunter Cooke of Wendell, brother, Billy Cooke (Charlene) of Wendell, and grandchildren, Taylor & Tristan Cooke and Lanie Grace, & Jake Strickland.
