John “Jeff” Lang, 36, of Middlesex, NC, passed away on June 9, 2025. Born in Maricopa County, Arizona, on November 14, 1988, Jeff was the son of John Lang and Melody Burchett.
Jeff was a man full of life, energy, and heart. He found joy in the simple pleasures—spending a day on the golf course or by the water with a fishing rod in hand. A devoted fan of baseball and football, his greatest pride came from watching his daughters play softball.
Jeff was known for his love of the color orange, his unique Sheetz orders, and his easygoing personality. He was a helper to everyone around him, a hard worker who never backed down from a challenge, and someone who brought fun and warmth to every moment. Whether visiting the Outer Banks, enjoying the tunes of Jimmy Buffett, or making memories at Busch Gardens, Jeff lived life fully and with a smile. Above all, Jeff adored his family.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Jenna Steele; son, Damien Lang (6); daughters, Hailey Lang (9) and Faith Steele (15); his mother Melody Burchett (Fenton Eure); and his sister, Megan Bekkedahl (Josh).

Jenna and family, so sorry about Jeff’s passing. A terrible disease has taken a good person. I send my deepest sympathy and prayers for everyone affected. Jeff will be greatly missed. I didn’t have too many conversations with him unfortunately, know he worked hard for the riding stable and was there to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
Jeff was an incredible young man and he will be immensely missed by all his family and friends. Our deepest sympathies and my prayers. He will never be forgotten.
