John E. Stanford Bowman
July 5, 1959 – March 6, 2022
ZEBULON – John E. Stanford Bowman, 62, died Sunday. He was born in Elizabethton, TN to the late Hoyle Edgar & Thelma Nadine Shanks Bowman. He served his country in the United States Army. Early in life, John shared a love for horses with his mother in Eastern Tennessee. He moved to NC in the Mid 80’s to start a life in commercial and residential construction. Later in life, he wanted to see the countryside, so he became a truck driver. He loved all three career paths and enjoyed the friendships he made along the way. John loved the Lord, his family, his country, and his friends. He was loved, and will be remembered by many.
He is survived by his children, Jacob Bowman (Stacey), Benjamin Bowman, Jacob Woods (Amber), Skyler Sprauge. siblings, Ed Bowman (Pam), Suzanne Chambers, Carolyn Thomas (Bob), Barbara Smith, grandchildren, Kaydince, Barrett, & Laykinn Bowman, Carlee & Maddie Woods. And many nieces and nephews that he loved equally the same.
Memorial service 3 pm, Sunday, Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, 211 W. Third St. Wendell. www.stricklandfuneral.com. A graveside inurnment will take place later at Mountain Home National Veterans Cemetery in Johnson City, TN

I am so sorry for your loss. I stayed in touch with John on FB through the years. Old family friend. He will be missed on earth by those who loved him. Heaven welcomes him home. God bless.
