John David Mattox

SELMA – John David Mattox, 63, passed away on Sunday. He was born in Raleigh, NC and was the proud father to his son, Colby. When not spending time with friends and family, he could be found enjoying the outdoors, going boating, and enjoying the beach. His passion and talent could also be recognized by his handiness. He was dearly loved by all his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Nelly Mattox.
He is survived by his son, Colby (special friend Hannah Henley), Fiancé, Judy Davis (her daughter, Alexa Childress) and his sisters, Anne Maria Raper (Randy), Nancy Barnes (Paul) and Linda Dygert (Brian).
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Donald Wayne Johnson, located at 143 Blueberry Drive, Selma, NC 27576
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 3:00 pm. Family will be greeting visitors from 2:30 pm – 3:00 pm prior to service.
