Jerry Allen Hicks

July 16, 1950 – November 12, 2022

LOUISBURG – Jerry Allen Hicks, 72, died on Saturday evening.  He was born in Wake County to the late Bernice & Magdeline Hocutt Hicks Moore.  Jerry served his country in the N. C. National Guard.  He loved playing guitar and had a charming personality and infectious, memorable sense of humor we all loved him for.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Hicks.

Funeral 11 am, Wednesday, Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel.  A burial will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by his girls, Denise Finch (Scott), Jessica Gant (Nathan), Ashley Turner (William) and Michelle Umali; brothers, Larry Hicks (Denise) and Tony Hicks; grandchildren, Christina Boykin, Lauren Denton (Devin), Tyson Gant, Molly Gant, Ava Collins, Scarlett Collins, Liam Turner, Trevor Hicks (Shelby) and Ezekiel Umali; great grandchildren, Gabby and Brayden Hicks.

    My condolences to this wonderful mans family….I was blessed to meet him 15 years ago and then given the opportunity to work for him. It’s with a very heavy heart to lose such a good person,,an awesome cook great boss and all around beautiful soul..
    I will never forget his genuine loving personality
