Jean Pippin Cone
September 9, 1936 – March 7, 2024
ZEBULON – Jean Pippin Cone, 87, was born in Franklin County to the late George Oliver Pippin and Gertie Medlin Pippin. She worked as an Accountant for United Way for 26 years, Boy Scouts of America for 14 years, and Broadfoot’s Publishing for 14 years.
Jean leaves behind the results of all her hard work and determination to create a better life for the next generation, the times shared with those she loved so dearly, and the many memories from every person fortunate enough to truly know her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Cone.
Jean is survived by her daughter – Leah Cone, her son – Chad Cone (his wife Kristen), and her grandchildren – Nicholas Hudock, Nicole Hudock, Bailey Cone, and Gracie Cone.
Flowers are welcomed. There will not be a formal ‘Visitation’ event.
Funeral service will be at 11:00am on Monday, March 11, 2024 in the Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, with burial to follow at the Zebulon Town Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, 211 W. Third St., Wendell.

I have such great memories with jean bring she was my mother in law for over ,25 yrs.certain circumstances didn’t let me attend .I know you would understand being how understanding n not a judging person .I will miss you jean …hey save me s spot ok.im thinking of all the trips to Atlantic City with you,boy we had a ball .go rest jean u will always be in my heart .God bless with love Richard Hudock Jr (,Richie )
