Middlesex – Jason Charles Champion 52, made his heavenly ascension on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. He was born October 23, 1971 in Wake County to Charles and Francis Narron Champion. Those of us who had a relationship with Jason know of his devout love for his family and friends. Jason worked for the Wake County Public School System for many years until his retirement. Jason was owner of Darkside Haunted Estates, Christmas Lights on the Farm, and Big Daddy’s Farms. Jason was also a member of many car clubs including Tiny Toonz and Toys R Us. He enjoyed a life filled with laughter. He always had a joke to tell. He was a friend to many and a stranger to none. He was married to the love of his life, Judy, of 22 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Champion

Jason is survived by his loving wife, Judy Boyette Champion, daughter, Kaylee Champion, son, Logan Champion, mother, Francis Narron Champion, and Sister Rhonda Champion Bradley (Paul), niece’s, Heather Whitley (Johnathan), Hanna Sherman (Chris), nephew, Joshua Bradley. His Great Niece’s who loved their Uncle J, Hadley Raye Whitley, Charlee Raye Sherman. Many Cousins and Family.

Visitation will be held Sunday October 29, 2023 from 2pm – 5pm at Strickland Funeral Home and Crematory 211 W. Third St. with funeral to follow at 6:00pm, Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Big Daddy’s Farm/Darkside Haunted Estates, 11959 NC Hwy 222, Middlesex, NC. Entombment to follow in the family cemetery.

    My condolences to Judy, kids and family. In my work experience with Jason, he always had a smile of his face, willing to help anyone, and was the same outside of work. Prayers of peace and comfort.
