Jason Allen Spellman

April 13, 1970 – October 20, 2020

Jason Allen Spellman, 50, passed away on Tuesday, October the 20th. He was born April 13th, 1970 to William Henry and the late Eldena Pearl Paris Spellman. He was known for his love of vehicles. Jason enjoyed restoring and driving classic cars. He had a particular fondness for a 1960 Chevrolet and was a Chevy man. He owned and operated a local transmission shop for many years. He was a hard worker, a fighter, and he would give you the shirt off of his back. He never met a stray animal that he did not bring home. Jason loved spending time outside.  He enjoyed being active in his grandchildren’s lives and valued spending time with his family more than anything.

Jason is survived by his daughters, Alana Brantley Liles and Jenna Blair Brantley (Chris), grandchildren, Kennedy Grace Page, Rebecca Ann Liles, and Kendall Blair Page. Jason is also survived by the love of his life, Lisa Brantley.

A memorial service will take place on Sunday, November 1 at 3 PM at Strickland Funeral Home. The family asks that you please “come as you are”, in comfortable clothing or wearing your favorite t-shirt, just as Jason would have wanted.

Masks are required as recommended by CDC guidelines during COVID-19.

The family would like to thank Transitions Life Care for providing in-home care for Jason so that he was able to enjoy his time at home with his family and friends. We would also like to thank all those who contributed to Jason’s memorial service fund so that his last wishes would be respected.

Arrangements are with Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, 211 W. Third St., Wendell.

My late husband Robbie Creech & Jason were friends & worked together through many years. I met Jason when Robbie & I were dating, he was fun & happy most of the time but boy don’t make him mad or he would get you. He will be missed by our family. Prayers for you all.

I am Jason’s aunt Pat, widow of his Uncle Royal. I loved the video showing Jason’s family. So glad he was happy. I am so sorry for your loss. May God bless you with comfort and peace.

Jason Was one of a kind! I lived across the woods from the shop, I will forever miss the burn outs and the motor reving engines. That was a great sound to hear to me. Good guy, but he had a temper, but he loved my grand daddy to death, he was always there for him, He had a sweet mama. and my grandpa loved them. Rest easy Jason
