James William Lockamy

LOUISBURG – James William Lockamy, 72, died Wednesday. A native of Sampson County he was son to the late Deoffie Lee & Mittie Hair Lockamy. He worked at IBM, and many years at Devil Dog. He loved the outdoors and people. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Reta Lockamy, Wife Shellie Medlin Lockamy, & several siblings.
He is survived by daughters, Dawn Lockamy of Zebulon, Angela Cartrette (Eric) of Louisburg, siblings Elbert Lockamy of Clinton, Bobby Lockamy (Linda) of Fuquay Varina, Jacky Lockamy (Martha) of Zebulon, Doris Wrench of Raleigh, Joyce Currie of Burlington, grandchildren, Matthew & Reta.
Funeral service 3 pm, Saturday, Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell with visitation from 2-3 pm, prior to the service. Burial, Lee’s Chapel/Williford Cemetery, Dunn, NC.
