Iris Fulford Schneider

Iris Fulford Schneider

Iris Noel Fulford Scheider was born in Nash County on January 8, 1982 and was called home to be with Jesus on Thursday February 20, 2020

Iris was born with Gastroschisis and as a result suffered through many hospitalizations throughout her life. She has been referred to as the girl who has been sick all of her life but there was so much more to her than that. A warrior, a fighter, a survivor, these are just a few words we use to describe her. Even though sickness has kept her from any typical jobs, when her health allowed she made many crafts and sold them to not only make money for her family but she also donated 15% of all profits to Raleigh Rescue Mission, even though she was having a pretty rough time herself. She had good days and bad days but on her good days you’d never know she had ever even been sick. Because of spending so much time alone and not being able to get out and visit she would call friends and family to talk, sometimes for hours at the time.

Iris never knew a stranger, she trusted anyone she came in contact with from helping the homeless or letting new and old friends stay in her home to help them get back on their feet. Nobody has ever had a bigger heart, she cared like no other.

Survived by: Tarl Schnieder (Husband of 11 years), David and Kristen Fulford (Mom and Dad), Michaela Fulford (Sister) and Kristopher Proctor (Fiance’) and Kylie Jane Proctor (Niece), Christian Diego Baines and Spencer Woodrow Baines (Sons),  Aaron and Jane Strickland (Grandparents), Bennie and Sue Fulford (Grandparents), and RC and Cathy Creech (Grandparents).

Iris had a heart for the homeless. She even opened up her home to the homeless and others in need. She always wanted to do more and was saddened by the fact that she wasn’t able to, with your help we can fulfill her dream. In lieu of flowers please donate to The Raleigh Rescue Mission in her memory by calling: 919.828.9014, mail:  P.O. Box 27391, Raleigh, NC  27611 or online :https://www.raleighrescue.org/ways-to-give/give-now/.
