HELEN C. BATTEN
April 15, 1927 – November 14, 2012
WENDELL – Helen Frances Cooper Batten, 85, died Wednesday surrounded by her family. She was daughter of the late Bud & Pearl Joyner Cooper. Helen was a saint and loved her family the best anyone could. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Horace & Charles Cooper, and Doris Perdue
She is survived by her devoted and beloved husband of 64 years, Percy R. Batten, daughter Betty B. Harris (Mike) both of Wendell, sisters, Georgia Mae Adams of Raleigh, & Joyce Bartholomew of Rolesville, grandchildren, Shelley Buffaloe (Chris), Brian Hales (Jenny), & Brad Hales (Karen), and great grandchildren, Cooper Buffaloe & Brennan Hales.
Flowers welcomed or memorials may be made to Baptist Tabernacle Church Building Fund.
Fuenral service 3 pm, Sunday, Baptist Tabernacle Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
