In the 1950’s I lived about 5 blocks from Harry in the town of Cheswick, PA. When I moved to NC in 1976 I found Harry living on the next street in Durham. Harry was about 8 years older than I and he was a graduate of Springdale High School in the class of 1954 with my brother, Dave. Harry inherited the food business from his dad, who was the cook, no, let’s say Chef at a small diner that was part of a sports complex in Harmarville, PA, It was called “Stop and Sock”. Harry’s dad had two specialties. One was french fried shrimp and the other was my dad’s favorite, french fried oysters. I think I’ll have some for father’s day and celebrate both dads and Harry. Rest in peace, Harry, Springdale High School Dynamo.
