Gladys Brantley Whitley

September 19, 1924 – December 27, 2018

MIDDLESEX – Gladys Brantley Whitley, 94, died Thursday.  She was born in Nash County to the late Joseph & Luie Jane Brantley.  She worked at Devil Dog.  Gladys was a sweet woman with a great personality that could move you.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Hardy Whitley, several brothers & sisters.

Her funeral service will be held 10 am, Monday, in Union Hope Baptist Church with burial in the Murray Cemetery.

She is survived by her children, Ted Whitley (Brenda) of Bailey, Jimmy Whitley of Middlesex, Linda Jones of Zebulon, Jeanine Cook (Wayne) of Wendell, grandchildren, Chad Jones (Shannon) Stephanie Jones, Brandon Hinton (Kelsey), Adam Hinton (Jodi), Jody Paige, great grandchildren, Gabe Jones, Lily Jones, James Hinton, Jacob Hinton, Matthew Hinton, Hannah Hinton, Addison Paige,  Carolann Paige, Joshua Sarkis, great, great, granddaughter, Aubralynn Paige, several nieces & nephews.

Flowers welcomed, or memorials may be made to Union Hope Baptist Church.
