Gerald Wayne Honeycutt, Jr.
June 19, 1986 – August 31, 2018
MIDDLESEX – Gerald Wayne Honeycutt, Jr., 32, left this life too soon on Friday. Wayne was born in Wake County, residing in Johnston County where he worked in the construction industry as a roofer. In his free time, Wayne was a dedicated Tarheel fan and enjoyed going fishing. He will be dearly missed by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Walter Johnson & uncle, Glenn Johnson.
He is survived by his children, Riley, Haley & Avery Honeycutt, their mother, Lorraine Spence, his mother, Dianna Hix & step-father, Gene Hix, father, Gerald Wayne Honeycutt, Sr., siblings, Nichole (Jeremy), Heather (Dustin), Amanda, Samantha, Ashley, & David, several nieces & nephews as well as several aunts, uncles & cousins.
Funeral Service will be held 4:30 pm, Tuesday, Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell, with visitation 3 – 4:30pm, prior to the service. www.stricklandfuneral.com

I’m so sorry for your loss. Im praying for the family. May God comfort the family in their time of need and long after as the questions get asked why this happened and some will get angry at God. We don’t know why this happens and that makes us question our faith in God. But look up and ask God to guide the way to healing and remembering and knowing in your hearts you will see Wayne again one day. To Raine and his beautiful girls if you need anything please ASK. May God help these girls always remember their great dad and may they remember the love he had for them and how it felt when he hugged them and never lose that as they grow up and make him proud in heaven. Again I’m so sorry for your loss, this has weighed on my mind everyday and has brought back a lot of memories and anger inside me but please focus on your faith and love as he will live on through those precious girls and through your memories and love you had for him. May God Bless all of you.

I would like to express my condolences in the loss of your dear loved one. The bible gives us hope of seeing them again in the promised resurrection according to scriptures such as [John 5:28-29] and [Acts 24:15]. We find further hope in [Isaiah 25:8] and [Revelations 21:3-5] which says in part, that Jehovah God will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more. I hope these scriptures will be of some comfort.
