ZEBULON – Genevieve Ellen Long passed away on Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021. She was born in Gage County, Nebraska, to the late Roy Anthony Cooper & Rebecca Rutter Cooper. “She raised 7 children and was 101 years 7 months and had a very full and productive life. We’re thankful for her life and humility and her peaceful passing with family and the last 3 years we got to be close with her in our home. She requested to be cremated and that there be no funeral or memorial service.” Howard Long’s novel One Step to Paradise was published posthumously in 2021 at Genevieve’s last request. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Howard William Long, son, Brian Long, and daughter, Ruth Younts.
She is survived by her sons, Calvin Long (Ruth), Stanley Long (Kathy), Eric Long (Janet), daughters, Alice Hamstra, and Ellen Schulze (David).

Calvin, We are here for you. Even though your Mom lived a long full life, the pain of losing your Mom is hard to bear. I pray soon your hearts and minds will only be filled with loving memories that you treasure always.
