Gail Daughtry Woods
March 18, 1951 – January 30, 2025
ZEBULON – Gail Daughtry Woods, 73, of Zebulon, NC, passed away January 30, 2025. She was born March 18, 1951, in Raleigh, NC, to the late Talmadge “Bill” May Daughtry and Doris Elizabeth Hunter Daughtry.
Gail was a woman of many passions. She found joy in gardening, scrapbooking, and crafting, always with a creative spark that she loved sharing with others. Her love for animals was a central part of her life, and she could often be found caring for and nurturing them.
Gail is survived by her daughter, Amy Holcombe (Corey); brother, Terry Daughtry (Iva); sister, Tammi Gurley (Dennis); grandchildren, Morgan Huckabee and Erin McCollum; great-grandchildren, Eliza Huckabee and Millie McCollum; nieces, Holly Martin and Kelly Ennis; and nephews, Matthew Parrish and Adam Parrish. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Franklin Chester Woods.
A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, 211 W. Third Street, Wendell, NC 27591.
