MIDDLESEX – Gail Liles, 68, passed away October 20, 2023 with her loving husband by her side. She was born October 9, 1955 in Nash County to the late John A. and Lucindy J. Bissette. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Beatrice Loyd, Gertrude Carroll, Pauline Jones, and Hilda Hicks; brothers, Eunice Ray and Willis Bissette, and several fur babies.

Gail is survived by her husband of 50 years, James Liles, and her 19 year old fur baby, Angel.

James has always been by her side, especially during the last few months of her sickness.

Gail was a loving wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She never met a stranger and would make a joke with someone just to start a conversation. She had a big heart and loved everyone. She was truly loved by all that knew her.

Gail and James enjoyed trips to Myrtle Beach and Pigeon Forge, taking in a lot of the music shows. She loved going to yard sales and flea markets, looking for teddy bears, angels, piggy banks and ducks to add to her collection.

Gail will always be loved, never forgotten, and she will always be in our hearts.

Funeral Service to Celebrate Gail’s Life will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will take place from 12:30pm – 2:00pm, prior to the service.

Interment will immediately follow the service at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 809 W. Gannon Ave., Zebulon, NC 27597.

Flowers are welcomed.
