Wendell – Frank Clifford Cornett, 84, died on Monday. He was born in Tazewell County, VA to the late Clarence Kyle & Rachel Ruth Neal Cornett. Frank served his country honorably and proudly in the United States Marine Corps. He worked with Omark-Blount Industries. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Zona Gale McLean Cornett & his daughter, Dana Cornett Fowler.
He is survived by his sons, Frank Cornett (Barb), Daniel Cornett (Susan), 4 grandchildren, & 7 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your local SPCA or Wake Humane Society.
Funeral service 11 am, Friday, Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell with visitation from 10 am – 11 am prior to the service. A burial will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. www.stricklandfuneral.com
