Braxton Floyd Farrington
March 2, 1946 – June 26, 2021

WENDELL – Braxton Floyd Farrington, 75, made his Heavenly ascension Saturday, June 26.  He was born, March 2, 1946, in Wake County to the late William Claude and Doris Eddins Farrington.  Floyd was owner and operator of Double F Trucking.  He was a Past Worshipful of the Masonic Lodge, Wakefield.  In his down time, Floyd enjoyed his two favorite kinds of horsepower, one of which was horseback riding and the other, Harley Davidsons.  Everyone who knew him will tell you, he was just Pa!

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Barbara Jones Edwards Farrington; children, Terry Stewart of Wendell, Peedie Edwards (Heather) of Zebulon and Johnny Edwards of White Lake; grandchildren, Michael Jones, Jr., Konner Edwards and Cooper Edwards.

A Funeral Service to Celebrate Floyd’s Life will take place on Tuesday, June 29, 7pm at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with visitation following the service.

    Floyd and myself were cousins… I was came from Vernon Mitchell family… Floyd was a very nice man and will be missed.
