January 18, 1926 – November 3, 2015

Mrs. Flossie Peaks Price, age 89, of Zebulon, NC, formerly of Williamston, NC, passed peacefully from the confines of this earth into the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, from complications of Alzheimers.  She was born in Martin County, NC, to the late Wheeler and Carrie Peaks.

Mrs. Price is predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Rev. Haywood Price; her brothers, Arthur Peaks and Jodie Peaks, and her sisters, Carrie Leggett, Surreathea Phelps, Daisy Faison, Ruby Griffin, Mollie Roberson, and Maude Peaks.  

She is survived by her 4 children, Carol Brown (A.J.), Pat Tart (Eddie), Sandy Trippe (Sonny), and Tim Price (Stacy); 5 grandchildren, Trey Tart (Janet), Lee Tart Alford, Shaun Price (Joy), Will Price (Aleisha), and Jordan Ashley; and 9 great-grandchildren, Justin Tart, Rebecca Tart, Ryan Alford, Jackson Trippe, Augustine Price, Jane Price, Hugh Price,  Layla Beth Price, and Skyler Price; and her sister, Alice Rhodes.

Flossie was greatly loved and will be thought of often with memories that will warm the hearts and bring smiles.

The family would like to recognize and offer grateful thanks to the caregivers of Zebulon House for these last few years of tender and loving care provided to her and to Transitions for their assistance.

The family will receive visitors at the home of Sonny and Sandy Trippe.

Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimers Assocation or to Baptist Tabernacle Church, Building Fund, 1599 NC Hwy. 231, Wendell, NC 27591.

A celebration of Mrs. Price’s life will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015, at the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 211 W. Third St.,  Wendell, NC, at 1:00 p.m., with visitation prior to the service from 12:00 p.m.- 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at 3 pm, Martin Memorial Gardens, 12813 US Bus. 64, Williamston, NC.  www.stricklandfuneralhomes.net
