FAYE PRIDGEN
May 22, 1944 – Oct. 3, 2011
WENDELL – Carolyn Faye Bunn Pridgen, 67, died Monday. A native of Wake Co., she was daughter to the late Clyde W. & Betty Pearl Batten Bunn. She worked for many years with the NC Dept. of Revenue. Faye was a true lady. Faye never complained and was always thinking of others comfort even during her most trying battle with cancer. She would literally ask about others with illness while totally disregarding her own. Faye LOVES flowers & cards. She was preceded in death by siblings, Lubie Morris, Katherine May, Daphne Cozart, Erdene Joyner, Pauline Bunn, C. W. Bunn, Willard Bunn, Robert Bunn, & Donald Bunn.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Kenny Pridgen of the home, children, Scott Pridgen (Angela) of Fayetteville, & Nikki Pridgen Paxton of Garner, grandchildren, Ellie, Maggie, & Gavin Pridgen and Brandi & Brooke Paxton, siblings, Jean Bunn Weathersby of Kenly, JoAnn Bunn Thomsson (Allen) of Zebulon, Janie Bunn Baker of Wendell, Rayford Bunn (Clara) of Raleigh, Bobby G. Bunn (Ann) of Orlando FL, & Wayne Bunn (Pat) of Tampa, FL mother-in-law, Helen W. Pridgen, and numerous nieces & nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff, nurses, & doctors of Duke Raleigh Hospital & Rex Rehabilitation.
Funeral service, 3 pm, Friday, Wendell Baptist Church with visitation from 1-3 pm, prior to the service in the church sanctuary. Entombment will follow at Gethsemane in Zebulon.
