Ethel Beatrice Barrow Bridges
July 23, 1937– February 14, 2025
LOUISBURG – Ethel Beatrice Barrow Bridges, 87, of Louisburg, NC passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 23, 1937, Ethel dedicated her life to the care and well-being of her loved ones.
As a devoted mother and grandmother, she cherished raising her children and later, guiding her grandchildren with the same love and care. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family. Her home was a place of warmth and comfort not only for her family but also for friends and the community.
Ethel had a deep love for reading. She found joy and solace in her favorite books, especially the Bible. Her faith in God was a cornerstone of her life, and she lived by His teachings each day. Ethel also looked forward to the simple pleasures of life. She particularly enjoyed annual beach trips with her family, where she created lasting memories by the ocean.
Ethel will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, and all those who were fortunate to have known her. Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Left to mourn her passing are her sons, Willie Robin Bridges (Jean), Kenneth Lugene Bridges (Darla), Raymond William Bridges Jr. (Tracy), grandchildren; Holley Bridges Monroe (Kevin), Jared Ristuccia (Michelle), Christopher Brock, Cassandra Lawrence (Patrick), Bryan Bridges (Jessica), Jennifer Brock, Jeremy Bridges, great grandchildren; Bre’Anna, Bryson, KJ, Corwin, Perrin, Linden, Elijah, Lellia, Elizer, Serenity, and Abigail.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Annie and Fred Smith, her sisters, Margaret, Roberta, and Jean, her daughter, Santina Brock, and her grandson, Jason Ristuccia.
A memorial service will be held at Raleigh Memorial Park on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Ethel’s memory.
