Mr. Erick C Hodges, 38, of Wendell, NC, formerly of Tracy, CA, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday November 15, 2023.
Born in San Diego, California on May 5 1985, he attended Jefferson Elementary School in Tracy, CA and graduated in 2004 from Linden High School in Linden, CA. He spent most of his young life in the California central valley before moving to Raleigh, NC in 2015 where he met his wife Hannah.
He has worked in the food service industry for over 15 years and worked his way up to management roles and soon to be Head chef. He was loved by all in his workplace and community. He had a love for hockey and was the Carolina Hurricanes biggest fan, a love that he shared with his son. He will be most remembered for his generosity and kindness to anyone he met.
He is survived by his wife Hannah of 6 years and son Asher; His parents, Kevin & Melanie of Richland, WA; a sister, Jessica of Richland, WA; a brother, Douglas of Raleigh, NC; 6 nephews and 5 nieces.
A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday November 21st at 3pm at New City Church, located at 6904 Glenwood Ave. Suite 112, Raleigh NC 27613.with reception to follow. The family will meet at 2pm prior to service. There will be no calling hours.
