Emily Elizabeth Eddins Ellis, a cherished resident of Zebulon, NC, passed away on May 29, 2024, at the age of 41. Born on January 4, 1983, in High Point, NC, Emily brought joy and warmth into the lives of all who knew her. She was the beloved daughter of Eric Eddins and Cindy Barton Eddins.

Emily’s love for her family was boundless. As a devoted mother, she poured her heart into nurturing and guiding them, leaving an indelible mark on their lives.

Professionally, Emily served as a Registered Nurse at Moses Cone Hospital, where her compassion and dedication touched countless lives. She earned an associate degree from GTCC (Guilford Technical Community College), later achieving her BSN from UNCG, eventually serving as a Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR). One of her proudest achievements included her membership to the Association of Operating Room Nurses. Her commitment to caring for others was evident in every interaction, earning her the respect and admiration of colleagues and patients alike.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Emily found fulfillment in various pursuits. She had a passion for reading, finding solace and inspiration within the pages of her favorite books. Her thirst for knowledge inspired her love of the stars, when she became a member of the Astronomy Club at GTCC while living in Greensboro. Emily was also deeply involved in her church community, where she found spiritual nourishment and shared her faith with others. Her compassionate nature extended beyond the church walls, as she joyfully engaged in acts of kindness and service, embodying the true spirit of altruism. Emily was an active member of the Mops group, where she formed lasting friendships and found camaraderie with fellow mothers.

Emily leaves behind her devoted husband, Brandon Mark Ellis, who stood by her side through life’s joys and challenges. She also leaves behind her beloved daughters, Evelyn, Elena, and Isabelle, II; her cherished brother, Eric Eddins, Jr., and sister-in-law, Jaima, & niece Leah.

Though Emily’s physical presence may be gone, her legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness will continue to inspire and uplift those who carry her memory forward.

Memorial service will be held at 3 pm, Saturday, at Hephzibah Baptist Church, 1794 Wendell Blvd, Wendell, NC 27591.
