Clayton – Early Lee Land III, 83, passed away Thursday. He was born in Durham County to the late Early Lee Land II and Sarah Louise Lloyd Land. Mr. Land retired from the United States Air Force, having served his country in both Korea and Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Land, of the home; step-children, James, Tina and Billy Joe White, Robin Moore, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and several special friends. He is also survived by his faithful companions, Cuddles and Snuggles.

Funeral service 2pm, Tuesday, Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 211 W. Third St. Wendell. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm, prior to the service. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. www.stricklandfuneral.com
