Mrs. Sledge purchased her glasses with our office for many years. I knew exactly who was calling the minute she spoke. I LOVED her southern accent because I have one myself. I will surely miss her because she was one of the sweetest souls I have ever met! Sending prayers to her family. Heaven has gained a sweet southern angel – fly high Ms. Diane! Until we meet again.
The first people we met when we moved to Zebulon was John& Diane, we all rode motorcycles together and formed a Christian motorcycle club, we lost our son in a car accident while we lived there and I always look back and know that church and those people were the reason God put us there and John and Diane did everything for us like being aunt and uncle to Grandparents for our son Clay, I’m not sure I would have made it through all those dark days without these two people. We have been gone from there for many years but we always remained close to them and Diane was like my sister and leaving there was like leaving home for the first time all over again !!!!!
Although my time with Diane was brief, I feel truly blessed to have known her. She was one of the kindest, sweetest people I’ve ever met. Her gentle spirit touched my heart, and made a lasting impression. Heaven has definitely gained a beautiful angel. My sincere condolences to her family and loved ones.
Diane and John were among some of our favorite customers at Wendell Drug. She was always so nice and later on when she didn’t drive we delivered to her. Wendell lost a good soul for sure.
