David Eugene Earp
December 20, 1945 – March 19, 2021
Knightdale – David Eugene Earp, 75, went home to be with his Lord and savior on Friday. He was born in Wake County to the late William Gordon & Nellie Lovelace Earp. He worked for Siemens for many years. David loved his God, his family, Nascar, and Karaoke. He was a great man who will be remembered for the love & dedication he showed to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 24 years, Patricia Ann Goettee Earp, & his first wife, Lillian Bunn Earp.
He is survived by his children, Tammy Rennard (Tommy) of Knightdale, Leslie Bolick (Dale) of Wendell, Donna Cronin (Tommy) of Knightdale, Ray Edwards (Patsy) of Wendell, Joe Edwards (Taunia) of Wendell, brother, Kenny Earp, grandchildren, Shannon Redd (Hurley), Timmy Rennard (Hannah), Kristen Bolick, Jacob Edwards (Phoebe), Joe Edwards, Jr., Trey Cronin, Brittany Edwards, Delaney Cronin, Jackson Edwards, great grandchildren, Wyatt Rennard, Elizabeth Redd, Everleigh Redd, & Jace Edwards.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 5358 Pearces Rd., Zebulon, NC, 27597
Funeral service 1 pm, Tuesday, Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell, NC, 27591. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, where the family will speak with friends following the committal. www.stricklandfuneral.com (Masks Required)

He was a cool man. He always had the loving spirit and when we would get up and line dance he would be the first up and the last one sitting most times. His loving spirit will live forever.
So, so sorry to hear this. Papa was the sweetest fellow & truly loved his God & Karaoke. He & I would sing “Golden Ring” together (after he asked my Hubby if that was OK) Such a Gentleman & so “Loved” by all of us @ Robinwood. He will truly be missed. Prayers for comfort for you all!
