January 19, 1965 – June 21, 2019

RALEGH – David Edward Stephens, 54, died Friday.  He was born in Harnett County.  He was a karate instructor, worked for International Paper, and well as doing electrical work.  He loved his grandchildren, talking to folks, & had a determined personality.  He was preceded in death by his  stepfather, Joel Wendell Thompson, Sr.

He is survived by his daughter, Leciena Renee Stephens of Moultrie, GA, mother, Linda Lou Gardner Thompson, father, Robert Louis Stephens, Sr., siblings, Robert Louis Stephens, Jr. (Donna) of Raleigh, Victoria Lynn Stephens of Wake Forest, Meghan Stephens of Raleigh, grandchildren, Mallory Trull, Alyssa Stephens, & Brandon Melvin.

A Irish wake will be held at his home on Saturday, 2 pm
