Dale Raeford Williams
October 31, 1970 – September 20, 2023
ZEBULON – Dale Raeford Williams, 52, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. He was born in Wake County on October 31, 1970. Dale faithfully and honorably served our nation as a Corporal with the United States Marine Corp., 7th Communication Battalion, Bravo Company at Marine Corps Air Station in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. Upon fulfillment of his duty with the USMC, he became a Reservist with the National Guard. Dale worked in the Utilities Industry as an Underground Cable Locator. A few of his enjoyments in life were fishing, golf, baseball, NASCAR, playing poker and shooting pool. Although he loved everyone, his son and grandson were the sunshine in his life
Dale is survived by his son, Bradley Dale Williams, grandson, Jayden Earl Williams, of Zebulon mother, Patricia Ann Bailey Williams of Zebulon; father, Ben Hooper Williams, Jr. of Virgina, former spouse and mother of their son, Tracy Louise Champion of Zebulon and his girlfriend, Connie Jeanette Bragg of Zebulon. His sidekick and partner in crime, Jerry Langley of Zebulon.
Funeral Service will take place at 2:00pm, Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 1:00pm – 2:00pm. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 809 West Gannon Avenue, Zebulon, NC 27597.

My condolences to each of you. Prayers for peace and comfort. I remember Dale from our days camping with Randy, Christine and other Champion family members at White Lake. Fond memories. Sending love to all.

Pat, I was very sorry to hear about Dale. Unfortunately I never had the opportunity to meet him personally but I learned what a wonderful son he was by you. My heart goes out especially to you but also the family and all the ones who knew him. I will be keeping you in my prayers. I am sure you know that I have always loved you. May God ease the pain of your loss, through his comfort and peace.
