Middlesex –Dale Davis Tant, 76, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday. She was born in Johnston County, NC to the late Onnie Burbon Davis and Gladys L. Woodard. She was a true and loving wife to her husband. She will be remembered as a kind-hearted mother and wife that enjoyed laughing and sharing stories. She was a very strong, yet patient and caring mother. She was preceded in death by her brother, Javis Davis.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Stanley Cephus Tant daughters; Tracy Hollifield (Craig) of Wendell, Robin Tant of Morrisville, her siblings; Kay Tippett of Middlesex, Carol Barnes (Wallace) of Middlesex, Curtis Davis (Lucy) of Middlesex, sister-in-law Melvalene her loving nieces and nephews and her cat, Oreo.
Visitation will be 6:00pm to 7:30pm Wednesday at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory. Graveside service will held at 11:00am Thursday at Davis Family Cemetery, 10566 NC Hwy 222 W.

I’m Archie’s oldest daughter. I’m so sorry to hear of Dale’s passing. My prayers are with you and family. Life and distance changes the way we keep in touch with each other but I remember her well.

Stanley and Family – I’m so sorry to learn of Dale’s death. She was such a lovely and kind person. I know that you remained as devoted to each other as you were on your wedding day when I played the organ for her to walk down the aisle to meet you to begin your life together. May your precious memories sustain each of you.
