Colene Clemix Edwards Knott

May 19, 1931 – August 4, 2014

WENDELL – Colene Clemix Edwards Knott, 83, died Monday.  A native of wake county, she was daughter to the late Pete Denton & Mary Edwards.  Colene loved helping those in need and caring for shut ins. She never met a stranger and loved everyone she met.  Colene was an intelligent woman who was very active in church.  She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Knott.

Funeral service 11 am, Thursday, Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, burial, Beulah Christian Baptist Church Cemetery.

She is survived by her children; Dewayne Carlyle (Lori) of Holly Springs, Rita D. Sullivan of Raleigh, siblings; Douglas Denton (Joan), Lafayette Denton (Lois), both of Rolesville, Larry Denton (Becky) of Apex, Violet Allen (Ed) of Zebulon, Betty Pearson (Tom) of Youngsville, grandchildren; Carlyle Sullivan, Julia Carter (Jonathan), Derek Carlyle, Matt Gooch (Gabby), Luke Gooch, great grandchildren; Sofia Carter & Katie Lynn Gooch.

Flowers welcomed or memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels.
