Aunt Cathy was one of my favorite Aunts. I always loved her and thought she was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever known. Growing up, I loved to stay with Aunt Cathy and Uncle Mike especially if Marlou stayed too. I loved looking through her wedding photos. I just thought they were the best couple. I thought she was beautiful and loved to wear her shoes. Anytime I was going through something hard, I always received a card from her and will always remember my memories with her. I still think of her every time I make her chocolate chip brownies during the holidays. God surely received another angel. I’m so sad for my Uncle Mike and Caron and Allison but I know we will see her again. Love and hugs to the family and may all of your precious memories bring you much comfort and peach during this time. I won’t be able to be at the service but I will praying for you. Love, Heather
Aunt Cathy was a special lady; thoughtful, classy, and the epitome of a Christian woman. As Heather mentioned, she always sent a card to let me know she was thinking of me and praying for me when I was dealing with life’s challenges. I have so many fond memories of spending time with her, Uncle Mike, Caron, and Allison. Words can’t express how sad I am for all of you. I’m sorry I can’t be there to support you in person, but I’m with you in spirit and keeping you all in my thoughts.
Much love,
Kim
Fond memories of Cathy growing up at Creedmoor Baptist Church. She was a person to look up to. Beautiful, kind and smart. My condolences to the family..
Sorry for your loss Pastor Mike, She was a great lady and always had a smile. Prayers for you and your family.
To the Wheeler and Carter families: I was surprised to hear of Cathy’s passing. I had not kept in touch and had no idea that she was still in the area. I was French teacher and Senior sponsor at Millbrook High School from Jan. 1967 through May/June 1971. I was Mrs. Long then, but have remarried. I Knew Cathy and her siblings as well as her mother as school secretary. They are fond memories. I occasionally see/hear from some of the students/teachers or their families. Please know that I am thinking of you and praying for you, especially during this Christmas season. May God continue to bless all of you. Love in Christ, Mary Ann Alford
