Carroll…I will definitely miss you. You always made sure I received my birthday, Christmas, and all other holiday cards delivered in person. Every year you would stop with the most current annual magazine with our favorite team on the cover…THE TARHEELS! I have numerous Tarheel gifts and pictures that are still displayed in my office. Every visit to my work included you walking over to Hardees for that large unsweet tea. Thanks for all the fun memories when you would come into J&M Chevrolet. You will be missed!
    Sincerely,
    Nicole Osborne

Carroll always made sure we had our birthday cards 5 months in advance. He wanted to get it to us early he said in case he wasn’t here. I sure will miss that card this year. Go heels as he always would say. You had the biggest heart of anyone I know. You always could brighten the darkest day. You will be missed.

Carroll was a dear soul who spread love for others along his way. The service today was a perfect memorial of him. There were tears, but I believe the smiles out numbered them. The stories the minister told spread Carroll’s joyful spirit through those in attendance. I shared in Carroll’s UNC mania and even braved watching a few games with Bryant and him….. a true electrifying experience!!! The Tar Heel Nation has lost a cherished member, but he will live on in our hearts.
    GO TAR HEELS! BEAT DOOK!
