Carolyn Williams Hopkins
December 21, 1948 – November 30, 2024

Carolyn Sue Hopkins, 75, of Middlesex, left her earthly home to spend an eternity in Heaven on Saturday evening, November 30th.

She was born in Wake County to the late Earl Lee & Versie Massey Williams. Carolyn is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 56 years, Elvin “Wayne” Hopkins and her son, Jason and his wife, Dawn. Her two grandchildren, Hayden and Gracie who were the apple of her eye.

Carolyn had a heart for Jesus and she wanted others to love Him, too. She loved others well, spending many years serving in church and being a blessing to so many. She loved her family immensely and being in the woods hunting with her hubby was one of her favorite places to be. She treasured watching her grandchildren from the stands of the baseball field and in the audience of dance recitals.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Don Williams and Jerry Williams. She leaves behind her brother in law Trent and his wife Bonnie, many close friends, neighbors, cousins, nieces, and nephews that all loved her well.

For a brief time I worked with Carolyn at Blount. She was a very sweet person, and I remember a conversation we had about our shared love of housecleaning. She told me how she loved to clean her house when it was raining outside. She was good friends with Menia Perry, who we also worked with, and Menia called Carolyn “Hoppy”; which I thought was a cute nickname!
