Bruce W Stahl

Bruce W Stahl passed away, Thursday April 28th, at home in Knightdale, NC.  He was born in Wausa, NE on October 19, 1923 to the late Reinhart John Stahl and Stella Augusta (Trede) Stahl.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife of over 69 years, Lorraine (Adsit) Stahl.  His children: son, Brad (Susan Adie) of Middletown, RI; daughters, Linda (James) Callahan of Knightdale, NC; Julie (Daryl) Frankenfield of Farmington, NY; and Shelley Stuck of Seneca Falls, NY. Brothers: Lloyd (Jean) Stahl of Central Square, NY; Jon (Fran) of Meridian NY; and Roger (Terry) Stahl of Peachtree City, GA.; also sister-in-law Emma of Baldwinsville, NY. He also is survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  

He is predeceased by brothers: Warren, Clyde, Mark (Lois Carol).  

He was a proud dairy and cash crop farmer, with farms in both LaFayette, NY and Seneca Falls, NY.  He retired in 1994, and moved to Port Charlotte, FL; he and Lorraine continued to travel the country in their RV until they moved to Raleigh, NC in 2007.  They enjoyed traveling the world, visiting many countries and several continents.  They moved to Knightdale, NC to live with their daughter and son-in-law in 2015. They were active Square Dancers in both NY and FL.  He enjoyed playing card games and dominos with both family and friends.  He was a former member of the Farm Credit of Western New York where he served many years as a board member.  He was a former member of the Cooperative Extension located in Central New York.

A celebration of life will be held on July 16, 2016 at the Fayette Firehouse in Fayette, NY from 12 (Noon) to 5 pm.
