WENDELL – Bonnie Harris, 83, passed on from this life after living a life of love to her family and to her Lord and Savior. She was born in Nash Co. to the late Herman Lee & Martha Adna Murray Price. Professionally, Bonnie retired from the North Carolina Department of Insurance, Office of the State Fire Marshal. Bonnie loved cooking and spending time with family, gathered around the table, sharing stories while enjoying her famous home-cooked meals. Her memory as a pillar of love, hope, and strength will resound in the hearts of those she cherished so deeply.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Jimmy “Rex” Harris, Jr., Scarlette Harris O’Neal, and Bonita Gail Harris; her grandchildren, Justin Lee O’Neal (Julia) and Sarah Elizabeth O’Neal; her great-granddaughter, Emmaline Love O’Neal; her brother, Earl Price (Sue), and her faithful granddog, Dabo. She was predeceased by her parents and her sisters, Helen Brantley, Mae Murray, and Anne Anderson.

Funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, in the Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, located at 211 W. Third Street, Wendell, NC. Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery of Middlesex, NC.
