ZEBULON- Bonnie Coots Baker, 94, died Thursday. She was born in Harlan County, KY to the late James Madison “H.” & Anna Halcomb Coots. She was a switchboard manager with Southern Bell. She loved jigsaw puzzles, Animals, & was a prayer warrior. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Wilbur Baker, & daughter, Bonita Baker Ray, siblings; Cleo Mabel, Leo, Cooley, & Cecil.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Greg Ray, grandchildren; Kim Ray, of the home, Kevin Ray (Marisa) of Wallburg, NC, great grandchildren, Blake Gray (Savannah), Brittany & Haley Ray, great, great, grandson, Bentley, sister, Ruby Whipkey, special niece, Frances Lancaster (David) & many other beloved nieces & nephews.

Funeral service 2 pm, Wednesday, Pearce Baptist Church with visitation from 12:30 – 2 pm, prior to the service. She will be entombed in the Gethsemane Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Arrangements are with Strickland Funeral Home, 211 W. Third St., Wendell.
