Betty Ann Denton Rogers, 66, went to be with her Lord on Friday after a valiant fight with cancer. She was surrounded by her family.
A native of Edgecombe County she was daughter to the late Otis & Gladys Sanderson Denton. She worked at Devil Dog for over 33 years. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, & sister who loved making sure everyone was taken care of. A son, Danny Rogers, brothers, Carlton, James, Otis Jr & Vincent Denton and sister, Sara Peaden preceded her in death.
She is survived by children, Wendy Ward (Chris) of Zebulon, Tony Rogers of Zebulon, brother, Vickey Denton of Rocky Mount, sister, Lou Tucker (Roy) of Zebulon, grandchildren, Christopher Ward (Mary Faith), Stephen Ward, Jennifer Ward, T. J. Rogers (Becky), & Joshua Putnam, 4 great grandchildren, and her beloved pet’s Mia & Sandy.
Flowers or memorials to the American Cancer Society are welcomed.
